The Story of Two Sachams

As Told By Andrew James Murdoch Stephen

One Sacham dreamt about Brother Owl who protects and guards Mother Moon, at the same time, another Sacham was dreaming about Father Sky and Mother Earth who were sleeping together and naturally Earth and Sky were dark.  A curious and Brave young Brother decided under the light provided by Brother Owl and the Moon, he decided to wander and wander and find and see what he could see in the darkness.  Well upon time young Brother realized his foot was stuck in some trap, that even Brother Owl and Moon could not reveal itself to Brother…..but Brother was brave, he never wimpered, he never cried, he just held on to his medicine bag worn around his neck and chanted…….By and by Father Sky lit up the world and the people of the village realized young Brother was missing from his camp and people….and they chanted…..Where are you?  Where are you? North?  South?  East?….or West?…………..Brother Owl took the time from his respite and flew down and screeched to the villagers below…..” I have seen him…..he is the curious and intelligent young man who will be a great man……….a leader amongst your people…….follow me”………….the villagers found Young Brother and Young Brother kept all the secrets he had learned while watching the Sun pass over the Moon and the Moon rise again….after Sun went down…..Young Brother learned a lot…….look to our Aztecs………..look to our Native Brothers………all about chronology, astrology, mappings of the skies and the Divine to be realized on his world…..Do you know who that Young Brother was?……this is a true tale……stay tuned…..that is all I have to say……Peace Out, Andy……
