Ontario Police to hold a Ceremony for a Murdered Gay?

As told by Andrew James Murdoch Stephen

Ok, ok, like my title says apparently the Ontario Police (were ordered?) are having a ceremony for a gay man who was murdered 20 years ago….I don’t know where, I don’t know who and I certainly don’t know why…..not to diminish the victim of any murder, be they of any of the constellation of sexual proclivities or whatever….ahhh, ummm, what about the police having a ceremony every year for the murder victims of that particular year the way we in September have and hold a well attended ceremony for officers killed in the line of duty?  So to recap, is a murdered gay more valuable than say, an innocent by-stander in Toronto gunned down in a drive by shooting or a baby shaken to death?  Speaking as an ex-cop here, I am very confused, and if I was an active policeman ordered to take part in such a very narrow exclusive ceremony….I would secretly take great umbrage to that order….what about the rest of us?  What about the rest of you?  Where will this political correctness ever end?  Andy from Ottawa, Canada
